Technology in the Classroom
The CSU East Bay course, Technology in the Classroom, explores the operations and concepts of basic technology and current technological trends to enhance personal and professional growth and productivity, as well as the integration of technology into the classroom.
Google Educator Training
One of the course requirements was to become a Level 1 Google Certified Educator. I completed the 15-hour, on-line training course that covered five Google applications: Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms), and ways to use these applications for education. After a comprehensive on-line examination, I achieved the Google Certified Educator Level 1 qualification, which is valid for three years.
International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)
The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is a community of global educators who believe in the power of technology to transform teaching and learning, accelerate innovation and solve tough problems in education. ISTE inspires the creation of solutions and connections that improve opportunities for all learners by delivering: practical guidance, evidence-based professional learning, virtual networks, thought-provoking events and the ISTE standards.
